Young mothers are not only in your local town but are all over the world!
Looking back to the 1900's there were a lot of young mothers but very few single mum's compared to the world today. Today there are young girls falling pregnant at the age of 11yrs and have no father to there child/children wich is very sad as most children from 11yrs to 15yrs would be getting there parents to look after there child/children for them while they still attend school. Here is a statement found on the internet written by an 12yr old girl...
HI my name is jill i am 12yrs old and i am pregnant i have told my mum she has let me keep it but i have to go through school and mum will look after my child for me i have told the dad of my baby and he won't talk to me anymore iam scared and alone someone help me please.
Name has been changed for sercurity reasons.
Myself being 21yrs and pregnant can relate to the letter the young girl wrote. I am not with the father of my baby but we are trying to stay friends for the baby we may not get along but it isn't the baby's fault we know that. he's there for the doctor's appointments and ultra sounds which is a big help at times it does get hard between us and we don't talk for weeks till the next doctor's appointment but as long as the child has its father in it's life we wil all be happy i know we are better off as friends then fighting with each other every day
