To all members and friends of Pambula-Merimbula Branch,
Welcome to the new and exciting year of 2010.
I hope you have all received the 2010 calendar of events. There are interesting guest speakers each month and lots of special days for branch and group activities.
The first of these is the Group Handicraft and Cookery Day on the 15th March at the Bermagui Country Club with judging during the morning and open to the public from 1pm.
As you will all be aware, the old Pambula CWA rooms were demolished in January, and the builder immediately began the building of the new premises. We do not have a definite finishing date at this stage but the committee are planning an opening day sometime in June. We thank the Merimbula News Weekly for the wonderful article and photos they composed for February 10th issue of their paper.
The State President Mrs Margaret Roberts will be making a three day visit to the Far South Coast Group from March 23rd. Mrs Roberts will be retiring from the presidency at the State Conference in May having finished her 3 year term of office.
Bega branch are hosting a luncheon for the three southern branches of the group on March 23rd, followed by a civic reception at the council offices at 3pm (by invitation only).
