STOP OVER DEVELOPMENT IN TATHRA
If you don't want to see this inappropriate urban development happen, PLEASE consider doing at least ONE of these things:
1. Inform yourself by reading the review document and the Bega River Estuary Management Plan - Estuary Processes document
www.begavalley.nsw.gov.au/Environment/estuaries/pdfs/Bega_River_EPS.pdf
www.planning.nsw.gov.au/planningsystem/panels_southcoast.asp
2. Tell anyone else who might care enough to do something.
3. Send an email to the following people saying you are opposed to the development.
office(at)sartor.minister.nsw.gov.au, paul.freeman(at)coi.nsw.gov.au, andrew.constance(at)parliament.nsw.gov.au, bob.debus@debus.minister.nsw.gov.au, g.nairn.mp@aph.gov.au, gbarry@begavalley.nsw.gov.au, claudia.jordan@planning.nsw.gov.au, lee.rhiannon@parliament.nsw.gov.au neil.mcgaffin(at)planning.nsw.gov.au, wollongong(at)planning.nsw.gov.au<//a>,
4.Write a letter (remember? paper, ink, stamps and envelopes) and send it to someone important. An old fashioned letter can be very effective.

5. Phone the Premier, Planning Minister, the Planning Department, Council etc and declare to the relevant people in a clear, assertive voice that you are not going to put up with this crappy decision making anymore!! The voice of a concerned citizen is seldom raised and these people will be very impressed by your positive action.

6. Visit these people (yes, in person) and present a petition or letter and let them know you have gone out of your way to come and see them to put your view across. They will be astonished to see a real live person rather than an email or a piece of paper.
7. Ring/visit a local politician and tell them that their stance on this will determine your vote in the next Federal, State or Local election.
8. Talk the issue up at your next BBQ, Christmas gathering, church function, golf game, bushwalk etc. Let others know what is going on here.
9. Participate in a public meeting organised by someone else.
10. Organise a public meeting on the issue.
11. Prepare your own colourful flyer and distribute (in an environmentally friendly way) to raise awareness
12. Contact your local radio station and attempt to get on air to discuss the folly of this recommendation
13. Write a letter to the editor of local newspapers -
editorial.beganews@ruralpress.com
14. Come up with a list of other things that people could do and circulate it.
15. Go for a walk/paddle/swim/ride at beautiful Mogareeka and convince yourself you should do something to protect this wonderful natural asset.
