Bishop Allen

Brooklyn quartet Bishop Allen produced their debut album Charm School in 2003. In 2006 they performed the extraordinary feat of releasing a four-track EP for every month of the year, with the exception of a 14-track live album released in August.

Bishop Allen's music is friendly, occasionally quirky indie guitar pop, combining hooky choruses, a nice sense of melody and broad musical talents.

The band have a new album due out in July 2007 to be called ‘The Broken String', which will feature reworked tracks from the 2006 EPs and some new songs.

Try the slow build of Flight 180 from the April EP and sweet folky vocals with mandolin on Butterfly Nets from the May EP.
