Jacqui Ryding was born in Adelaide in 1960. In 1999 she graduated with a Bachelor of Art (Visual Arts), majoring in painting and completed a Graduate Diploma of Education in 2000. Travel included an intensive study of Impressionist work in both Paris and London. Prior to this Jacqui studied ceramics and Fine Arts at the Riverina Institute of TAFE beetween 1993-1995. Since relocating to the South Coast three years ago Jacqui has been a member of Spiral Gallery Co-operative taking an active interest in community projects. Jacqui is a visual artist who works in mixed media, painting and ceramics. Her imagery draws inspiration from nature and seeks to explore Jungian psychology using dreams and mindscapes. The notion of artist's role as shaman is explored, communicating the human condition through symbols and mythologie. It is a search for Soul.
