At the Bega Show on 13th February 2009, Sally Howard of Bega was crowned Bega Showgirl, 2009.
Her hobbies include Horse Riding, Ladies Fashions, Jogging, Photography and Scrap Booking
Her main sporting interest is in Horse Riding, including Dressage and competing in Riding Events at local Shows.
Her goals are to travel and study. She wants to learn new things, see new places and meet new people. She is interested in beauty, fashion and the Equine Industry. She aims to pursue a career in one of her chosen passions.
She said she believes the The Bega Showgirl Competition offers her an invaluable experience in which she hopes to gain additional knowledge and experiences.
She feels privileged to live in such a beautiful area alongside some amazing and genuine people, and to be part of a strong and supportive community, and she feels honoured to be chosen Miss Bega Showgirl.
The Bega Show Committee wishes Sally all the best for the future and thank her for entering the Competition.
Erica Davis was runner up to Sally, and Chelsea McMahon was crowned Miss Junior Showgirl and they were congratulated by Carly Healey who also competed.

Showgirls at the Pavilion Centenary Ball - 2005
Many past and the present Miss Bega Showgirl travelled to Bega for our Centenary Ball. Those attending were Kay Rogers, Madge Salway, Margaret Carson, Paulien Foote, Narelle Griffin, Jane Willis, Kylie D’Arcy, Claire Burgess, Katie Umback, Mary-Anne Lucas, Leanne Heyhorn, Amy Hergenhan, Jennifer Russell, Kim Hinde and Jodie Hinde (some of the names above are married names).
