The weather conditions for the annual Business House Relay event were similar to previous years with storm clouds threatening and temperatures low. Fortunately the rain held off and the event went off without delay.
30 teams braved the conditions with many team members also taking part in the NAB 33m sprints. Most teams enjoyed at least 3 swims with the exception of the few that were sent for an early BBQ dinner due to breaking their times by more than the allowed 7 seconds.
The final was hotly contested between Greg Eastman Electrical, The Sinkers, Commonwealth Bank, Kothes and Conference Complete. The Sinkers were first to the wall well in front of the other teams, unfortunately too far in front breaking their time by more than 10 seconds and therefore disqualified. Kothes were next to touch and declared the winners.
The NAB Sprints were so popular that there were several heats in some age groups to decide the final. Full results can be found on the link above.
The NAB team not only swam on the night but also done a fantastic job running the BBQ, the Bega swimming club would like to thank them for a job well done.
