NEWS edition from Valerie Currie

At our May State Conference, many issues were discussed and voted on. Our delegates gave a report at the May meeting.  Information from the conference is published in the June issue of the Country Women’s Magazine.

The big event at the Conference was the architects presentation of the proposed plans for redevelopment of our Potts Point property.   After further consultation, a Development Application will be lodged in the near future.  All future information relating to this project will be printed in our Country Women’s Magazine.

Earlier in the year our Branch received a grant from the Foundation of Rural and Regional Renewal to run a wellbeing day in our rural community.  The idea being to bring women together for a day of wellbeing and pampering, with suggestions for the day being Tai Chi or Yoga, massage, facials, etc.  The workshop to be held prior to the end of July.

Our Birds in the Bush Day was held on June 4th at the PambulaTown Hall  Our sincere thanks to everyone involved.

Members, family and friends, all did a exceptional job.  Thank you.

Our International Day Luncheon will be held on Friday, June 27,  at the Wharf Restaurant.  Laraine and Jan are working very hard to again produce an informative and interesting luncheon, this time with a Mexican theme.  For a booking, phone Laraine on 64953957 or email   jumbuc@netspace.net.au.  See you there.
