Carer’s Recreational Activities

AIM
To maximize children’s safety by giving them adequate supervision at all times. To enhance Carers professionalism.

RATIONALE
We strongly believe that it would impossible for Carers to adequately supervise the children in their care while engaging in private recreational activities (such as tennis, squash, dancing, gym, aerobics etc).

STRATEGIES

Carers will structure their recreational activities to take place during times and days when no Family Daycare children are present.

Canteen duty, or helping out at school will also not be permitted, because such activity will not allow you to adequately supervise the children in your care.

REQUIREMENTS OF REGULATIONS AND OTHER STANDARDS

NSW Children’s Services Regulation 2004, Clause 66 (1)
