Introducing the BCO: A New Orchestra for Bega Valley
The Bega Valley is now able to experience its own Chamber Orchestra. The orchestra, known as the Bega Chamber Orchestra (BCO) was formed by conductor Geoffrey Badger after the successful concert series in June with the Heartsong Choir, the Bega Valley String Orchestra and guest musicians.
The BCO will be able to play a much wider range of orchestral repertoire. The Bega Valley is home to some very proficient and experienced orchestral musicians including brass, woodwind and percussion players. Many of these musicians have expressed a wish to be part of a larger orchestra such as this.
Ensemble playing is one of the great rewards of the many years of commitment which players put into their music study. It also enriches the life of the whole community.
