Soundscape is Tathra Women's Choir led by Arati Gorge, and meets regularly on Wednesday mornings at The Tathra Anglican Church during school terms. They sing music from many faiths, many cultures, from all over the world in many different languages. They love to find creative new ways to harmonise together.
The women laugh together, share their experiences in a safe, receptive and warm space, and enjoy forming firm friendships. The singing itself seems to provide wonderful medium for release of tension, building of self-confidence and creative exploration. The group always finishes with a soundscape, a free-flowing improvised wordless harmonic and rhythmic toning that is reputed to have great healing benefits for all who saturate themselves in it.
