I can't think of a reason to use a designer.
Here's a list to consider apart from the samples you've already seen:
- Ad for Triangle or Sustain magazines (Bega Valley locals)
- Personalised Thank You Card
- Wedding Anniversary Invites
- Gallery Opening invite
- Cafe Menu
- Order Form
- A4 poster for laminating
- Artwork for signage
- Web Banners
What "artwork" do I receive?
It depends on the job, but most print jobs these days are printed from hires pdfs. These are often of a file size that can be easily emailed. As long as you are connected to the internet we can communicate via email and "proof" pdfs. Once you are happy with the artwork, you receive a hires pdf (up to then you will receive lores proof pdfs for viewing).
What happens once I have my artwork?
Once I've provided the artwork the next stage is to find a printer. If you are printing it at home ... well you know the answer to that. If you are printing it through a commercial printer you might want to shop around for a print quote. I can assist you by providing the information a printer needs to quote on your job, or liaise with the printer for you.
Can I change the artwork myself?
The short answer is "not really", but then that's the reason you came to a designer, right! Although pdfs are becoming more editable these days they are not of themselves an option for "creating" a piece of artwork or intended to be altered. They are rather the end product of a job which would originally have been created in a design programme like Adobe InDesign or CorelDraw, and exported to pdf format for printing. Best is if we discuss your expectations at the beginnng of the job.
