Water Temeratures
Water temperatures are starting to rise giving new growth to plants.
At Kangarutha we will be propagating a variety of water plants which will be ready around mid Spring into Summer.
A Riot of Colour
We will always have some water plants (reeds, rushes and submerged varieties) available all year round, with the specialties coming out of winter dormancy in Spring and Summer. There will be sub-tropical blue and purple water lillies miniature red, pink, white, yellow and apricot lillies.
We'll also have the pink and cream lotus.
Water Depth
Lillies do not need to have deep water to grow in. Most will grow in depths 15-30 cms (water depth is measured above plant crown!), plenty of sunshine, still or slow moving water. They will grow in tiny tubs to large dams.
Normally you would grow them in containers which would then be lowered into your pots or ponds to allow for easy repotting.
