The internet is like my right arm, I'd be lost without it. When we are time poor, it's a great place to find information and research on miriad topics. These are some websites that I have found useful, I hope you do to.
www.onyabags.com.au is a site where you can buy very cool bags of various descriptions and funky colours. They pack away into little stuff sacks so they can be "always onya" (the clever advertising phrase). The ones that appealed to me are tulle bags to replace the plastic bags provided for fruit and veg in the supermarket - breathable, washable and weigh nothing at the checkout. Seems like a great idea to me!
www.thetithingtree.org.au is a site run by friends of friends. It's purpose is to help you find ways to donate to worthy causes, including as gifts if you want to get off the commercial Christmas buying frenzy. They have their own database of organisations, and also a page linking to other useful databases.
www.flyingsolo.org is a site for small business. There is a huge range of resources and interactive networking with other small business people. There enewsletter is worth signing up for.
www.suecurrie.com.au is a site about personal branding and PR.
www.vistaprint.com.au is a great site if you want reasonably priced printing of business cards and stationery that are all themed/matched. Also good for creating your own postcards or magnets, and they often have free offers that are worth following up.
www.audioacrobat.com is a site that you can use to create your own audio files.
www.austcom.org.au is a community based website, with sub-communities all over the country. My site is hosted through them, and there are lots of advantages to being part of a community online. You can simply register for free is you want a web presence, and use the site to promote your coming events. Worth checking out.
