Wadbilliga N.P. is renowned for its wilderness values. It protects the habitat of many interesting native animals such as vulnerable spotted tail quoll. Containing the Brogo Wilderness Area, Wadbilliga protects the rugged coastal escarpment and plateau areas surrounding the Wadbilliga, Tuross and Brogo Rivers.

The park is perfect for long bushwalks and overnight camping. Note though in the Brogo Wilderness Area there no formal paths and access relies on the walker using topographical maps and compass to determine the best routes.

Due to the rugged and relatively isolated nature of Wadbilliga, animal populations here have remained relatively undisturbed. Wildlife includes swamp wallabies, eastern grey kangaroos, wombats, possums and the spotted tail quoll. There is also 122 native bird species in the park. Wadbilliga also contains examples of open forest, woodland, heath, swamp, bogs and pockets of rainforest.

Wadbilliga N.P. is located 20kms west of Cobargo taking firstly Wandella Rd and turning onto Yowrie Rd then Bourkes Rd. There is 2WD access up to the Lake Creek Camping Area then 4WD access only. The Lake Creek Camping Area is a bushland setting on the Wadbilliga River. It has basic facilities such as picnic tables toilets and BBQs.
