Over the years, I’ve seen my computers become obsolete with disturbing frequency. With operating system and applications increasingly hungry for resources, planned obsolescence is the name of the game. In an ideal world, we wouldn’t have to worry about computer recycling … we’d simply upgrade the components as we rolled along. Alas, it’s not always that easy.

For your peace of mind, erase your HDD before donating.
we use Linux on all systems distributed because: - GNU/Linux doesn't have any license issues. It is licensed under the General Public License (GPL), which doesn't restrict the number of users, restrict your use of the software or require payment.
- GNU/Linux can be used successfully on older hardware
- GNU/Linux systems can provide users with all they could ever need in today's advancing information technology society
- GNU/Linux systems allow users to gain hands on experience by "looking under the hood"
- Access to information and helpful people, through an ever-expanding collaborative network is only an email away
