Classic Movie and Games under the Stars 24th October 2009 held as part of The Calf & Horse Show

See "The Man From Snowy River" on the big screen

The weekend of the 24th - 25th October 2009 will see the dairy and horse committee of the Bega AP & H Society Inc. organizing a special weekend of entertainment. On the late afternoon of the 24th October the youth of the dairy and horse sections will come together for sports activities and fun games.

 This will be followed by a free BBQ dinner and drinks supplied by NSW DPI drought support and the catering committee of the Bega AP & H Society Inc.

On sunset at the showground a short educational DVD will be shown on functional dairy cow where a few of the features of a dairy cow will be dissected on the big screen.. However the highlight will be the screening of the classic movie“The Man from Snowy River.

Horse and cattle exhibitors and their friends are invited to watch this movie on the big screen on the dairy cattle show arena. Bring a rug or a chair and share this moment under the stars with the exhibitors. Popcorn, chips and drinks will be on sale. If the weather is inclement we will move into the cattle shed.

On Sunday morning at 9.00am the Westpac All Dairy Breeds Calf show will take place at the showground.

The 2009 judge is Brad Gavenlock from Berry. Come along and support the young people of the dairy industry.
