Chelodina longicollis AKA Long necked Turtle and Eastern snake necked Turtle

Found this little chap stuck fast to our pump intake. he seemed fine, though I presume he would have drowned eventually.
You should have seen him getting away.
I've seen growth up to about 20cm shell length in our dams. They spend a lot of time floating with the head just above water
I've counted over a dozen in each of our dams during summer.
If you approach with discretion you can see them Basking poolside.
