Purposeful Sustainability
The Crossing is developing low energy and resource efficient systems as an education centre within a declared Conservation Area and adjacent to National Park and Nature Reserve.
Landcare in the coastal forests and rivers, particularly koala and potaroo habitat recovery work, incorporates: educational trails, fencing of conservation areas, seed harvesting and saving, planting and mulching, energy efficient design, wood, solar and water conservation management, bushfire reduction and building with natural and reused materials.
