    Auditions for David Williamson's "The Club" 04/12/2008 19:00 04/12/2008 21:00 Twyford Hall cnr Market & Beach Streets Merimbula Art/Craft/Music The footy clubs may be in recess, but Spectrum Theatre Group is already in preparation for the 2009 season with David Williamson's The Club.

The Club is one of Williamson's best known plays. It reveals what goes on in the clubroom of a Melbourne football club with the coming of professionalism and big business involvement in sport.

As former AFL star Lou Richards once wrote, "David Willamson must have pinched half his lines for The Club from a fly on a committee room wall."

A play reading will be held on Thursday 27 November at 7.30pm at Twyford Hall.

Auditions will be held  on Thursday 4 December at the hall.

There are 6 male roles to be filled, with ages ranging from early 20s to late 60s.
