Wallaga Lake - Community Development Employment Program

What is the Community Development Employment Program (CDEP)?

The Wallaga Lake CDEP is located on the far south coast of NSW, and has three branches in small regional villages and towns spanning 150 kilometres.

Wallaga Lake CDEP has around 70 Aboriginal and two white employees, and runs a number of small businesses. These include providing a cardboard and paper recycling service, lawn mowing and rubbish removal, and firewood supply services. The CDEP also operates training activities, community activities, contract services and labour hire.
