Comprising a short educational Video and a short illustrated children's book together with a Teacher's Resource Kit and an Action Guide booklet, the Zero Waste Schools Program Curriculum Resource Package has been created to enable schools to embark on their own waste minimisation journey with the support of a comprehensive set of educational resources.
Designed as companion resources, both the Video and the Book are truly innovative in using an approach which is child-centred. The children of Mumbulla School have been directly involved in the creative work for both the Video and the Book. This has resulted in a vibrant Video and a fabulous Book which both appeal directly to children.
The Teacher's Resource Kit and Action Guide have been carefully designed to support you in the development of a comprehensive waste minimisation strategy for your school, which will use a whole school approach to deliver integrated curriculum activities and implement a new operational system to manage resources at your school.
This ready-to-use Curriculum Resource Package will enable your school to meet the new standard established by the Environmental Education Policy for Schools (NSW), which addresses the three focus areas of curriculum, management of school resources and management of school grounds
