Starring: Richard Gere, Jennifer Lopez, Susan Sarandon
Shall we dance is a wonderful look at Ballroom dancing but this time more for the pure fun of it, rather than the competition side of it as it was portrayed in Strictly Ballroom.
Gere portrays a man that essentially has it all, he wants for nothing which is pointed out by his wife (Sarandon) on his birthday after saying that he never wants anything that can "come in a box".
Realising that she is right, he looks around and finds that he does want something - and starts taking Ballroom dancing lesson's, which is needless to say, out of the ordinary for him.
During this time he gains some wonderful friends, and learns more about himself and those around him.
Some sensationally funny moments, and wonderful dancing, this is a must see for any dance enthusiasts, and for those who enjoy a light hearted story.
One thumb up - definatley see this and take your mum along, she will love it (Mine did!!!)
Starring Ashton Kutcher made famous from “That 70’s Show” and his TV show “Punked” – yet another candid camera for celebrities.
The Butterfly Effect looks at the chaos theory (A butterfly flaps its wings and on the other side of the planet a typhoon rages)
Kutcher as an adolescent experiences blackouts, and is encouraged to write in a journal to try and help him remember the events that have passed, and to overcome the blackouts.
Skip into the future when Kutcher is free of the blackouts and is a University student studying psychology, and he realizes that reading his past journal entries allows him to travel back to that time and change events to alter the future. Kutcher continues to do this several times in an effort to reduce some of the trauma’s experienced by him and his closest friends – but toying with a force of this magnitude has consequences, and he must go back one last time to make things right, before it is too late….
For those of you who saw this at the movies be warned – the DVD/Video release has a new ending, and they failed to put the original ending (shown in Australian cinema’s) in it's entirety in the Special features of the DVD, which needless to say really annoyed me! Personally I did not like the ending in the Cinema version, but I preferred it to the ending on the DVD/Video release (Even if a few of my friends think it is the best and possibly the only true way to end the movie)
Despite the new ending, this is a must see thriller!! Two thumbs UP!!!!
