ENet is the sponsor of a Natural Heritage Trust project to reintroduce the Green and Golden Bellfrog to our region.
On 24 December 2005 the first batch of tadpoles was reintroduced at a location near Pambula, after extensive testing for chytrid fungus. The reintroduction almost took place the previous year, but was aborted when a tiny number of tadpoles was found to be infected by the fungus.
First frogs spotted 23 February 2006!
