The Shack

My old Shack

After three years, I returned from Perth to the place that i adored. Brogo. Here i lived in a shack. It was nothing flash, but it taught me not to take things for granted and that things take time to happen!

My Family

Okay, now i can tell you a bit about myself. My name is Jessica Bunyan. My family consists of many people of course but the members who are in bega are my father - Roger Bunyan; otherwise known for Redgum Soaps and also his amazing knowlegde and skill in web page design, i cant forget his wonderful partner Vicki, who had the idea of making soap in the first place, and is also a fantastic cook.

My uncle Leo, who lives in Towamba, in the middle of the bush on a large property, he is a dental technician, and very talented at his job. Then there is my son James, who is 4 and a half yrs old and very excited about going to Tathra Primary School next year. My partner Jarra, who i have had the pleasure of knowing for 10 wonderful years. He is currently doing an apprenticeship as a chef at the Tathra Bowling club, very talented cook if i do say so myself!

Last but not least is my four legged friend, Shady. Who just has to be a part of everything, i think she feels she should be human sometimes!

My Dogs

My beloved dogs. In January of 1990, dad and i moved to Bega. Just before we moved, dad brought me a dog. I called her Mitzie. She was a border Collie Kelpie cross and i thought she was just beautiful, and i loved her to bits. She would keep me company in the afternoons after school, when dad was still at work, she would go exploring with me, and most of all, the best thing was she would always chase a ball or a stick.

The years went on and Mitzie got older, i moved away and Mitzie stayed with dad, but in 2000 i moved to Perth. I missed my beloved four legged friend Mitzie, so I decided it was time to get another pet.

In January of 2003, I found Shady in the local paper being offered free to a good home. She is a 4yr Staffy kelpie cross, and was in desperate need of some love and attention. So i drove for 2 hours to pick her up. As soon as i saw her, i fell in love!

Unfortunately in July of 2003, my dad had to put Mitzie down, she was 13 and a half years old. We all miss her, she was a fantastic and very amusing dog, definately one of a kind!

Back to Bega

In March of 2004,I decided to return to sunny Bega to be with my family and friends, whom some of them i hadnt seen in 4 years. So i packed up my house, son and dog and said goodbye to my family and friends.

I stayed with dad and vicki for a couple of weeks until i was able to move in to the shack (photo above), thanks to a very good friend of vicki. After staying there for a few months, i managed to find a llittle flat in Tathra, thanks to good old word of mouth, it never fails.

I have now been in Tathra for 3 months, i just absolutely love it.
