CHRISTMAS 2005

Ulladulla Evening VIEW celebrated Christmas in style with a “Very Elvis Christmas” and yes, VIEW now has proof that Elvis is still very much alive.

In fact there were three very live Elvi at the Christmas celebrations, plus a cardboard figure. Many members trooped in dressed up in rock and roll skirts, bobby sox and sneakers and were welcomed at the door by the “gold” Elvis.

Members tested their wits and memories on Elvis trivia dating back to the earliest Elvis publicity. It was quite amazing how much everyone remembered of their salad days – their youth.

The climax of the evening came when the three Elvi made an appearance and entertained with Christmas carols – Elvis style. Members danced along to the Elvis tunes and really got into the swing of things. One of the Elvi even risked his safety by coming around and serenading the members at their tables.

At this meeting toys and books were gathered for the Smith Family for distribution to the children we assist and we wish to thank the members who contributed.
