Sussex Inlet Day

SUSSEX INLET DAY VIEW BACK AT WORK - Article taken from the local paper.

"What a happy club we are. It's a pleasure to be a member of The Sussex Inlet Day VIEW. The meeting opened at 11 am with Enid Harris our president in great form. We had our new zone councillor, Nancy Baker, as our special guest, who endeared herself to all our members. There were three guests of members who, I hope, had an enjoyable day.

Enid gave us her thought for the day - "One thing about being over the hill, it's fun rolling down the other side". Not all of us may agree with you Enid.

Secretary, Dee, did her duties well, followed by the induction of three new members: Anita Price, Patricia Rowland, and Phyllis Pawson, returning to our club after an illness. We hope you all have a happy time with us. Nancy Baker did the honours, a first for her at our Club.

Del Sullivan, our vice president kept us up to date with welfare; Delegate, Barbara Casey informed us about the Zone Conference to be held at Bomaderry RSL, 3 April, 10 am for 10.30 am, the theme is "Green and Growing".

The viewpoint (Need to Grow in Giving) was widely viewed and there was a lot of discussion about the donation of organs, that it is never too late to be a donor.

Pam and Anne are putting together a day of fun at the barbecue area behind the RSL, Friday, 24 March, come along in your funkiest gear and have a great day.

It will be (Commonwealth Games Sussex Inlet style). Look forward to a delicious lunch, lots of games, a demonstration by Olympian, Barbara McCusker, a medal presentation - all for $10, great value. Pay at March meeting. Bring your husband, partner or friends. To book ring Pam, 44411968 or Annie 44411630, bookings essential for catering purposes.

We wish you all a healthy and happy 2006.
