The Sussex South View Club held their 5th Birthday Celebrations on the Friday 7th April at the Sussex Inlet Bowling Club. It was well attended by members, also visitors from Ulladulla, St. Georges Basin, Culburra, Nowra Day, Clyde River and Mollymook came to celebrate with us. Our special guest was VIEW Zone Councilor Mette Roodenrys. The tables were beautifully decorated with pink candles and serviettes set on white tablecloths. Most who attended wore pink in some form and the whole scene was most attractive.
President Narelle welcomed everybody and a short meeting followed. A delicious lunch was served amid happy chatter, the cake was cut and served to our members and guests, then our very own "Hamettes" presented "South's Bags", very entertaining and funny impressions of different types of bags. There was a handbag, bowling bag, shopping bag, garbage bag and of course the bag lady.
Here are some photos of our members enjoying their 5th Birthday celebrations. The ones in funny attire call themselves "The Hamettes" (I wonder why) Their presentation was called "South's Bags'. There was a handbag, lolly bag, shopping bag, etc. and of course there was the bag lady. Needless to say a great day was had by all.
Our Group meets on the first Friday of the month at 11am. The Sussex Inlet Bowling Club is our venue. We have only 54 members and luncheons and outingsare always well attended.
Regards, Patricia Petersen, Publicity Officer for Sussex South VIEW.
