Pauline Terwin is the coordinator of the preschool. She has 14 years experience in the Early Childhood field. This includes working with children with additional needs and families in rural and remote communities
Jodie Dickinson is the assistant childcare worker. She has a flair for imaginary play and art and craft work. Jodie has been with the preschool since 1997.
If you ever want to discuss your child with Pauline please let her know. Progress reports are available on request. Individual observations are recorded and placed in a port folio, available when the child leaves pre-school. Daily programming is recorded in a Diary situated on the sign-in desk. Photos taken at pre-school are sometimes sent home for family involvement and discussion. Ensuring that your child is happy and comfortable at preschool is a very important goal for the staff.
The preschool is run by a voluntary committee and as such depends on everyone’s help to continue its operation.
Volunteering for the committee is a rewarding donation of time and energy, allowing input into the way the preschool is run and knowledge of future plans.
Each preschool day there are one or two parents rostered on to assist Pauline and Jodie. By taking part, you become involved in the preschool’s activities, get to know your child’s friends and also assist by keeping the running costs down. Parent roster entails giving one or two days per term (depending on how many days your child attends) of your time to the preschool and your child.
