The thebegavalley.com is owned and controlled by an open community group called the The Bega Valley Site Administration Team (TBVSAT).

TBVSAT endeavours to promote IT in the Bega Valley. The future of IT is firmly focused on internet based service provision. We believe the Bega Valley is well placed to become a leader in this area. We also believe that we have an opportunity to taylor the technologies to our specific community needs. Should we neglect this opportunity we like other areas will be forced to settle for generic solutions offered by national or multi-national interests. This will result in a net loss of income from the valley and services that are not likely to fulfil our local requirements. If we embrace this opportunity IT will become a significant income for the region. With community input and support we have begun the task of building the industry structure required to achieve this goal.

TBVSAT provides this site free for local use to introduce new technologies to the community and to provide a useful service to the community. Apart from the free services this offers, this site also represents an opportunity of IT service providers to sell their products/services to users of this site. This site is also delivering time saving, efficient technologies to the community at large.

TBVSAT welcomes new members. Anyone with a proven ability to manage an admin account may join us and help administer this site. Duties of TBVSAT include regular clean up and maintenance of this site, the formulation of new policy and development and testing of new technologies. TBVSAT meets regularly both virtually and in person to present and discuss new development and policy requirements.

Complete access to change/create/delete content on this site can only be done by those with an admin account. Only TBVSAT members have an admin account.

All residents of The Bega Valley are free to register for their own page on this site. They may register as an individual, a community group or a business.

TBVSAT reserves the right to limit a user to one page in each category.

TBVSAT reserves the right to revoke registration to anyone not living  in The Bega Valley.

The group has agreed to register as a Not-For-Profit organisation with a view to becoming a CO-OP and possibly incorporating at a later date. Not-For-Profit registration is pending.
