i found an interesting article today, some of you may know the site www.everythinglinux.com.au i found it when i was looking to buy a linux distrobution,
but i didnt know all the other cool stuff they had, but anyway the creator of elx.com.au was from bega or he started working on elx here anyway or something

heres some basic linux commands i know off hand
ls or dir
(this lists the directories and files when you use ls with the -l option like this: ls -l it lists all the files but it also says what permissions they all have and who owns them)
mv
(moves or renames a file)
cd
(changes directories)
cp
(copies a file)
ifconfig -a
(shows all network settings)
