The Merimbula Coastal Patrol operates a Marine Rescue Unit from its Spencer Park base and provides marine radio coverage and sea rescue assistance along the Sapphire Coast for all local and visiting boats. A small group of highly trained and dedicated volunteers operate the Patrols rescue lifeboat "Sapphire Rescue" and are on call 24 hours per day.
