JUNE MEETING

President Jean Rolfe opened the meeting at 7:02 pm. tearing ladies away from the treasures of the Trading Table. A happy welcome to ladies from the Nowra Evening VIEW Club, and ladies from the David Berry Hospital Auxiliary.
Apologies from Cynthia Petizia, Kath Bowley, Maggie Paton, Lena Franks, Pat Vasallo, Rita Gardiner, Margaret Wray, Isabel Potter.
Birthday good wishes and chocolates go to: Robyn Bramley, Lesley Knox, Andrea Raynor, Betty Johnson, Cara Sigal, and Brenda Sloane (Nowra Eve VIEW Club).
Diana read the minutes of the last meeting and the business arising from them was the great result from the Soup-and-sandwich-and-bingo lunch.
The correspondence was read, then accepted by Marie and seconded by Janet.
Best wishes to Isabel in Wollongong Hospital, recovering from a nasty break.
Ellie told a true but depressingly funny story of a parking fine while doing her VIEW thing.
Dinner was minestrone and Turkish bread, followed by chicken/beef casserole. Some lucky guests had bought Marie’s excellent choc-chip slice at the Trading Table to have with coffee/tea. Her recipe is a MUST for all serious chocolate lovers, kind grandmas, hostesses-with-the-mostest, and Highly Recommended! (Diana).
The raffle was donated by Merrilie and won by Sue Hinkley.
The lucky door prize was won by the birthday girl, Betty, and donated by Lucy.
There was no Delegate’s Report.
The Treasurer reassured us that we do have a working account.
The Publicity Officers reminded us to sign on in The Book.
The Assistant Secretary reminded us of upcoming events and jollity.
Our Publicity Officer was published again!

The members and guests settled down to a very competitive and stimulating game or 6 of Trivia questions, interspersed with brain teasers. Nowra Evening VIEW Club ladies won!!! You have to have superior brain-power &/or luck to defeat Berry Evening VIEW Club, but we do not hold grudges! We are all friends in VIEW! (They were politely told to never come again).

President Jean thanked those who donated to the Trading Table, and congratulated and thanked all for participating in the frivolity. She wished us a safe journey home.
The meeting closed at 9:45 p.m. Goodnight and good bye for now!  Diana.
