Talk about local Coori community garden, at corner of Princes Highway and Boundary Rd, Derek was talking to David Dickson Aboriginal Land council
Permablitz, need planning in advance and some team leaders to lube trhe wheels of change. Get recipient to "host" - associate them with catering. Attend three, get a blitz at your place. Suggestions for places include: Coori, tulgeen group, churches, schools, Danielle, cop shop, council land, main street. Will show "eat the burbs".
Torch Relay: torch appears 7 oct, Derek roped in to drive it around, looking for photo oportuniites, maybe get powerFM to provide car and advertising and givaways. give 4 presentations on Saturday 11th, unknown length. Drive up Friday afternoon, present saturday, stay to chat Sunday, come back sunday afternoon. John B to prepare flyer for handout, email out beforehand. Can we do a peak oil poster ?
Other than that we chatted about lots of things without getting to any action points.

Schools video - john B to chase for use of video to present to lots of students. - need to define to our target - John B All dates set by 13th September so we can get it into sustain !!!!!!! Mediamedia release information & timetable - John B to assemble and to get a proforma for other groups to fill in, and need to hit schools and local papers, homeschoolers. Sertec has a copy of the national media contacts book. Each TT group should have a media contact person, need to generate a mail list for media releases.
Need to get a better collection of still and video on the positive side to TT, and Bega Valley centric. Community garden - video & photo shoot - talk to greg pritchard about the working bee coming up - ray to confirm date, ask Greg via emal address on TTBega. Meeting photos required, editor of BDN (Steve strevan) Meg also took shots - john B to get copies.
Need to start a photography competition, electronic submission, some prize (seeds) - we get to use the shots
Newspapers: BDN - SCPA gets 800 words once a month, we can use some of this (has to have a food slant) of about 400 to 500 words (including picture) for transition towns. Aim for quirky / fun, everyone on the committee should write an article. !!!!
TV: every committee member should do a "talking head" of why they are in the group for "transition TV" (put them up on the web site). We can film them ourselves at the next opportunity. !!!!!!!
WWW: Geoffrey will put all committee members phone numbers on the web site (probably mobile numbers rather than home numbers ?)

Eden TT Eden has commenced. Steering committee met 4-8-8 - 12 present - A lot of people from outside of the congregation and more community focussed. They agreed a local produce market was an important step - first market 18 October - 8am - 1pm - Will try and also manage a shared meal. They also have established a Walk from Eden up the Coast. JC offers videos for Eden groups GG suggests the thought sheet - Meet first monday of the month at the Church Dissolution date 30 June 09

Steering Group Closure We need to go through the 12 process steps and estimate when we think this steering group is ready to finish up and break into interest groups.
Formalising the South East Transition Initiative We need to go through a checklist and agree on all the points before registering with the Transition Network globally.(Geoffrey to put up on a screen )
Step 1 - Awareness Setting Thoughts,ideas and actions about how to progress this step.
Future Meetings All agree on when, where and how often the steering group needs to meet.
