ptabBoys of Ballysadare Max CampbellIf your not familiar with 9/8 time, just feel the pulse in 3 beats to the bar and you won't go far wrong. I like to play this lyrical little melody over held G chord drone basses. It feels right and (I hope) adds interest to throw the emphasis onto the third beat C chord in bars 2 & 4 etc. The open string G chord basses in bar 7 etc give the second beat emphasis and lend a feeling of freedom to the accompaniment.
