ptabEighth of January Max CampbellUsually played in D so capo 2nd fret. The main structural elements of my arrangements are, first position chords and freely used open strings in the melody and bass. I would always suggest that you find other sources for the harmony and melody in these tunes and use them along with my ideas as a basis for your own arrangements. You could play the B section of this tune arrangement quite handily with a flat pick. I enjoy both approaches to picking a tune and am growing increasingly fond of mixing the two within a single setting. (My "flatpick" is thumbpick down, fingerpick up.) I have tried to give a feeling, within the confines of 16 bars, of the variations possible when playing through a melody with this simple structure. I limited myself to one change per 4 bar repeat phrase though - I didn't want to get too baroque and lose the drive and compulsion that repetition imparts.CGuitarUntitledh@Standard@;72-( CGuitarIn CTempoMarker CSectionSymbol#CSection2 CChordText CStaff!0 CPosition CLineData! # # #! ## !B !#!# # !B" @ b b```!` CMusicBar`__ 2 $0!B@ b! # !## !B !#!# # !B" @b !@b b```!`___ 2 '!B@ b@ @ b @ @@B@ cb` b@!@b!!"
