fLiNG Physical Theatre

fLiNG Physical Theatre is a youth performance company that creates and performs original dance based physical theatre that is alive with character and vigour. The ensemble has filled a gap in the cultural landscape as the only funded youth dance company in New South Wales since 2004.

Proudly based in Bega Valley, a remote regional centre on the idyllic far south coast of NSW, fLiNG Physical Theatre has established a reputation for capturing youthful energy and mixing it with a boldness and flair for entertaining.

fLiNG Physical Theatre has a diverse repertoire of shows for theatres and alternative venues. It has a track record for creating energetic, gutsy, honest theatre that is underpinned by humour and fun with a broad audience appeal.

The company's members, aged from 10 to 26 years, are skilled in contemporary dance, gymnastics and theatre with a bent for performing. fLiNG Physical Theatre runs a guest artist residency program that builds relationships with some of Australia's premier performing artists.

The productions, are created collaboratively and have a distinctive, fresh and dynamic style. While production standards are high, our designs and staging are simple and effective and our approach to touring is flexible and negotiable.
