Hello .... and welcome to my site.
First order of business: Thanks to thebegavalley team for this great community resource and the opportunity to have a go at editing my own pages. A special nod here to Steve Ryan who inspired Jackie and myself to post our local Native plants and Weeds photo archives and gave his considerable expertise in constructing a friendly searchable data base.
My main project for this site is to set up an evolving tune arranging workshop for fingerstyle guitarists. I'll be progressively putting up a few of my own arrangements in both midi (audio) and jpeg (notation & tablature) formats, with notes on the ideas and techniques involved in creating and playing them. I'll also invite questions and contributions from others.
P.S. - I've also decided to post the tunes in power tab files which contain all the information in a versatile and editable file. I recommend this. It's a great learning tool. You'll need the freeware Power tab editor. (See my Freeware page.)
Digital photography is another interest. My idea here, is to put up theme galleries with 4 images each and gradually create an archive of some of my best stuff. I don't mind if you use these images as long as you give me the photo credit and don't sell them on to others.
Steve also suggested a Freeware page. I'll offer a brief review of programs I use in my music and photography pursuits and link to their sites.
So.... go on in and have fun. I did. Cheers, Max.
