Rotary Youth Driver Awareness

The Rotary Club of Bega conducts an annual Youth Driver Awarenss Program at the Sapphire Coast Kart Club Track at Frogs Hollow near Bega.
The one day training package follows a national Rotary model (RYDA) providing Year 11 High School students with advice on finance, drink driving, accident outcomes, braking distances, the law and other aspects of being a responsible driver.
Now in it's third year the RYDA program has achieved acclaim throughout the community as an essential course for today's young people.
The 2007 RYDA program was very successful with 400 students from Bega HS, Narooma HS, Batemans Bay HS, Anglican College Bega, Lumen Christie, Eden Marine HS and St Peters, Broulee particapating.
