Please provide a half scholarship to encourage young people to apply for the Sea to Snow Crossing

After circumnavigating the earth in record time on biodiesel and educating millions about use of low impact materials and sustainability Pete Bethune from Earthrace said that 'The Crossing is an inspiration' and thanked The Board and volunteers for all the work they are doing.
The Earthrace boat was recently painted pirate black and renamed the Ady Gil for it's work with Sea Shepherd in Antarctica patrolling the Japanese whaling. The boat was sunk by a Japanese whale boat in early January 2010.

The 2009 Sea to Snow Crossing was a great success.  Above are the crew as they set off from the beach and also pictured on top of Mt Jagungal and in the snow.

The Crossing is on a vital corridor between major coastal national parks at the gateway to the Wilderness Coast.

The koalas between The Crossing and Tathra are the only known coastal NSW population remaining south of the NSW Central Coast.  Koalas outside of the Victorian subspecies may soon be moved from threatened to endangered in Australia and young people at The Crossing are monitoring their survival and helping to discover, protect and restore prefered habitat

International Student Volunteer, Stacey Grey found the closest koala territory to The Crossing only 1km away on aboriginal owned land. The site is still very active. (click to find more koala news)
