"Take down a musical instrument
Let the beauty we love be what we do
There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground."
From jalai ud-Din Rumi. (Sufi mystic)
Hi fellow guitarists and any other musicians wandering through. Check out my article on arranging if you want, or go straight to the tunes. I have a baker's dozen posted one to a page. Here you will find a midi file link, a Power tab file link and music notation and tablature in jpeg form. My notes on arranging and performance are at the bottom of each page.
I have a growing number of tunes in Power Tab format. I recommend this - its a great learning tool for both working through other peoples arrangements and writing out your own.
If you have the freeware "Power Tab Editor", (See my freeware page for a description and site link,) you can down load and sample the tunes directly from the table below.
You will find my Arranging ideas, with each tune, under the View menu in Performance Notes. Where I know a tune's composer, I have acknowledged them in the notes and put their name in brackets after the tune name in the table.
All the tunes are available in midi format from the Midi tune files page. If you like what you hear on the midis and are inspired to have a go, I'd be interested in knowing how you get on. Drop me a line via the Contact page. I'm happy to help with specific problems.
